PREVENTION OF PURULENT COMPLICATIONS IN PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC PANCREATITIS UPON LOCAL RESECTION OF HEAD OF THE PANCREAS (FREY PROCEDURE)

Abstract

The objective of the study was to improve the results of Frey procedure in patients with chronic pancreatitis by the proposed method for prevention of septic complications. 16 patients were operated on by the original method. Clinical studies have confirmed the effectiveness of the method in managing underlying symptoms, clinical manifestations of chronic pancreatitis and preventing inflammatory, infiltrative and disseminated septic complications of the abdominal cavity.
