Abstract

Results of studies of humoral immunologic mechanisms of defense in two groups of patients with nodal breast cancer (I – IIА stages of the disease and IIB stage of the disease) and initial edematous infiltrative breast cancer are presented. The studies were performed while using appropriate complex therapy. Development of B-dependent immunodeficiency was noted in both groups of patients. It progressed with neoplasia metastatic spread in patients with nodal breast cancer (I – IIА stages of the disease and IIB stage of the disease). It was also most marked in patients with edematous infiltrative breast cancer even before treatment. Intensification of immune suppression was found out in patients with both nodal breast cancer and edematous infiltrative breast cancer while the patients were receiving appropriate polychemotherapy, radiotherapy or surgical treatment.
