Clinical significance of deviation value between ocular visual and anatomical axis

Abstract

We have studied relationship between the value of visual axis versus anatomical axis deviation and sagittal eye dimensions. We have proposed recommendations on application of the above-mentioned value at the stage of excimer laser treatment planning in order to determine whether it was necessary to shift center of laser energy delivery area towards visual axis and to decide on the type of excimer laser surgery.
