PROSPECTS OF IMPROVING A DEVICE FOR BLOOD PRESSURE MEASUREMENT IN THE ANTERIOR CILIARY VESSELS OF THE HUMAN EYEBALL

Abstract

A vasotonometer for blood pressure measurement in the anterior ciliary ocular vessels (arteries and veins) was developed. All the requirements for contemporary diagnostic equipment were observed. The advantages of the proposed device are the wide range of the measuring values (from 0 to 120 mm Hg) and high precision (error range ±1 mm Hg). The device is gated to PC, which allows a convenient user interface and patients data base.
