MANAGEMENT OF PRIMARY PTERYGIUM AT DIFFERENT STAGES OF ITS FORMATION

Abstract

Approaches to surgical treatment of primary pterygium are described. Determining the clinical form of pterygium (stationary or progressing), especially at the initial stage was proposed as an additional method of investigation using optical coherence tomography of the anterior segment of the eyeball. Depending on the stage and clinical form of disease,indications for surgery of pterygium were refined. We propose a method of surgical treatment of primary pterygium with low rates of relapse.
