TOPOGRAPHIC ANATOMY OF MAXILLA AND ALVEOLAR RIDGE CONTRIBUTING TO FOREIGN BODY ENTRANCE IN THE MAXILLARY SINUSES UPON ENDODONTIC TREATMENT

Abstract

The article describes the results of three-dimensional anthropometric studies of 105 CT head scans of people residing in the middle Volga region. We reveal basic anatomical and topographic patterns of the relationship of the upper jaw and the alveolar ridge, facial skeleton in general, and maxillary sinuses, contributing to complications of endodontic treatment of the upper jaw in the form of foreign body (teeth filling material entering the maxillary sinus).
