Abstract

Seven female patients with arterial hypertension in history were enrolled into this comparative study. We measured the curves of uterine artery flow velocity and estimated the uterine artery pulsatility index at 11—14 weeks of gestation. We collected comprehensible feedback data from all patients to determine the dependence of high blood pressure, the uterine artery pulsatility index and changes in fetal body weight after delivery. We found that there is a relationship between uterine artery pulsatility index and arterial hypertension. We compared the obtained measurements with the previously examined 252 patients whose pregnancy was not complicated with arterial hypertension.
