ADAPTATION OF MENTALLY RETARDED ADOLESCENTS IN SOCIETY: THE ASSESSMENT OF SPESIALISTS IN VOLGOGRAD NEUROPSYCHIATRIC INSTITUTIONS

Abstract

The survey of 67 psychiatrists, 39 medical psychologists and 24 specialists in social work (social workers) revealed their negative evaluation of the condition of social adaptation of mentally retarded adolescents in society. The main problems most of which were related to the inefficient activities of the institute of social assistance to the population were identified.
