ANTITHROMBOTIC ACTIVITY OF DAB-15 USING A MODEL OF ELECTRICALLY-INDUCED THROMBOSIS

Abstract

Antithrombotic action of the novel diazepine benzimidazole derivative agent DAB-15 having antiaggregatory activity was investigated in comparison to the antiaggregant drugs (acetylsalicylic acid, ticlopidine and clopidogrel) using the electricallyinduced thrombosis model in rats. DAB-15 and the compared antiaggregant drugs of acetylsalicylic acid, ticlopidine and clopidogrel demostrated dose-dependent antithrombotic activity. The effect of DAB-exceeded those of acetylsalicylic acid and ticlopidine, but was inferior compared to the activity of clopidogrel.
