SELECTING THE MOST APPROPRIATE METHOD OF FORMING PANCREATODIGESTIVE ANASTOMOSIS AFTER RADICAL PANCREATIC HEAD CANCER SURGERY

Городская клиническая больница имени С. П. Боткина, г. Москва Российская медицинская академия последипломного образования, г. Москва

Abstract

The article presents a comparative analysis of pancreatoduodenectomy outcomes in patients who received reconstruction with either pancreaticojejunostomy or pancreaticogastrostomy, although postoperative results remained unsatisfactory (the pancreatic tissue was soft, the main pancreatic duct was narrowed). The comparison of the results of the reconstruction showed that the formation of a pancreatodigestive anastomosis seems to be the treatment of choice for patients with the soft pancreatic stump and the narrowed duct of Wirsung, thus reducing the number of specific complications and improving outcomes.

Keywords

pancreatic head cancer, pancreatoduodenal resection, anastomosis, surgical intervention.
