PATHOGENETIC MECHANISMS OF ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE

Abstract

The article provides an overview of the accumulated scientific evidence on the links of the morphological and pathogenic forms of Alzheimer’s disease. It analysed the role of beta-amyloid in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease. It also described the mechanisms of age-related neurodegenerative processes and their connection with the vascular component. We demonstrated the diversity of nature and variants of deposits of intra- and extracellular proteins.
