The article deals with the relationship of morphological and functional parameters of the hand and somatotype in 17—21-year-old boys. The research was conducted using new HandScaner software which was developed by the authors. The purpose of the research was to identify the relationship between somatotype and morphofunctional parameters of the hand in the young males. A positive correlation was found between the force of the hand and the square of its palmar surface in the asthenic group. A less close correlation was found between the force of the hand and the length of the middle finger in the normosthenic group. We established that the relationship between palmometric data and dynamometric indicators, as evidenced by literature, appears to be age-related.
