The actual topic of modern endocrinology is the search for new highly effective and safe methods for treating diffuse toxic goiter, which requires the development of new models of Graves' disease suitable for routine using on animals. The goal of this work was to develop models of diffuse toxic goiter in an experiment on male rats. We showed that the immunization with a mixture of the lipid fraction of homogenate the porcine thyroid gland with complete Freund’s adjuvant and sodium dodecyl sulfate in a dosage of 4 ml per 1 kg of body weight in three-month-old male rats according to the scheme on 1, 10, 18 days is accompanied to the 21st day by the appearance of histological signs of hyperthyroidism, as well as a statistically significant increase in serum of T4 concentration by 3,2 times, a drop in TSH concentration by 2,4 times and a decrease in T3 concentration by 4,4 times. Thus, according to the results of the histological examination of the thyroid gland and evaluation of the results of laboratory analyzes, we made a conclusion of the development autoimmune thyreopathy in hypertireosis in an experimental group of rats.
