EVALUATION OF LIFEFERON TREATMENT EFFICIENCY IN PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC HEPATITIS C

Abstract

The authors studied the genotypic variety of hepatitis C in Volgograd region. The observation involved 46 patients aged from 18 to 55 with chronic hepatitis C. Mono- and combination therapies included interferon (lifeferon) and ribaverin. The advantage of combination therapy with parenteral forms of interferon is demonstrated. The incidence and severity of side effects in treatment with lifeferon did not exceed those upon administration of imported drugs.
