Peculiarities of a Psychoemotional state of schoolchildren in an Iodine – deficient region

Abstract

Psychoemotional status of schoolchildren of different ages living in an iodine deficient region was been evaluated. Complex program aimed at iodine deficiency included the administration of iodinerich drugs, eating modification, sanitary education and popularization of information materials among schoolchildren concerning the problem of iodine deficiency. All these measures enabled us to improve the psychoemotional status of schoolchildren aged 7–8, 10–11, to normalize thyroid gland size and iodine metabolism.
