The demographic situation in Russia remains rather complicated at present. National programs that are developed and adopted by the government are aimed at solving demographic problems. An increase in the birth rate, a decrease in mortality, and an increase in natural population growth are priority components of this situation. According to the Federal Statistics Service, as of January 1, 2020, the country's population is 146 745 098 people, and Russia occupies only 9th place in the world ranking. The population is the state’s renewable resource, which depends on many demographic indicators, one of which is the mortality and birth rates. Oncological diseases are one of the causes of population mortality, the mortality rate from which is about 20 %. The problem is important and occupies a major place in the incidence of oncological diseases in the child population.
