MEDICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF HYGIENE SKILLS ORAL CARE TEACHING CHILDREN

Abstract

To assess the level of knowledge about oral hygiene, 150 children under the age of 14 were surveyed. Individual conversations were held by each dentist with their patients in the same way, in order to increase the level of knowledge about oral hygiene. After three weeks, the level of hygienic knowledge of the patients was checked by re-questioning. The average level of knowledge about oral hygiene is calculated. Clusters are highlighted. The initial average level of hygienic knowledge of patients was satisfactory (0,55) with fluctuations of 0,30–0,70. 3 weeks after conducting individual interviews with dentists, the average level of knowledge significantly increased to good (0,85) with fluctuations of 0,60–1,00. The determination of the type of temperament of 12 medical workers. The division into clusters made it possible to distinguish two groups of respondents with different levels of dynamics in improving hygienic knowledge. A significant improvement in the level of knowledge was noted in patients observed in dentists with sanguine and phlegmatic types of temperament.
