Depression is one of the leading causes of declining working capacity in the population and remains one of the most common mental disorders in the world in all age groups. The features of the expression of endothelial NO-synthase in the dentate gyrus in mature rats were assessed when simulating a depressive state, as well as the possibility of pharmacological correction of the revealed changes with phenibut. Evaluation of changes in the level of expression of immunoreactive material in the dentate gyrus was determined in the granular and subgranular layers by assessing the intensity of staining in points from 0 to 3. In rats with an experimental depression, compared with the control group, there was a decrease in the degree of expression of immuno-reactive material in the dentate gyrus. The use of phenibut contributed to the correction of the studied signs.
