Abstract

Iron-deficiency anaemia increases the risk of development of chronic foetoplacen-tal insufficiency. Morphological structure of placenta of women with anaemia with different somatotypes aged 19—40 was investigated. Organ- and histostereometrical analysis of placenta has allowed us to reveal compensatory reorganizations in placenta of women with anaemia.
