Abstract

Clinical features of inflammatory periodontal diseases in patients with peptic ulcer were determined. In pathogenesis of inflammatory periodontal diseases in patients with peptic ulcer the change of quantity of nitric oxide synthase-, endothelin-1-, melatonin-like cells of gingiva and stomach is of great value. Their lesion was more significant in patients with chronic periodontitis and stomach ulcer. The efficiency of eradication therapy depends on degree of periodontal diseases. The greater thedegree of inflammatory periodontal diseases in patients with peptic ulcer, the less effective 1-week eradication therapy. Completeness of eradication in patients with peptic ulcer and periodontitis of severe degree is possible only upon increase of treatment to 14 days.
