The paper presents the results of a comparative study of anthropometric and functional parameters of adolescents aged 13—16, of both sexes, from different ethnic backgrounds, residents of the Republic of Kalmykia. It is established that at the present time physical parameters of adolescents aged 13—16 such as body weight, height, chest circumference exceed the above-mentioned parameters registered in 1965 in groups of the same age, sex and ethnic-territorial origin.
