Prevention and treatment of adhesive disease of small pelvis in tuboperitoneal infertility

Abstract

The paper describes the results of treating 49 patients with tuboperitoneal infertility and adhesive disease of small pelvis where we performed reconstructive surgery of small pelvis with minor access technique using antiadhesive barrier drugs Spraygel, adepta, Mesogel. The patients were divided into two groups according to the rate of acetylation reaction: those with fast acetylation phenotype (N-1) and those with retarded acetylation phenotype (N-2). All patients were also divided into four groups according to the extent of adhesive process. We discuss the possibilities of laparoscopic adhesiolysis in adhesive disease of small pelvis in tuboperitoneal infertility, the need for antiadhesive barrier drugs according to acetylation phenotype. We follow remote results of surgery after treatment of adhesive disease of small pelvis using antiadhesive barrier drugs for up to three years.
