Abstract

There are some data that osteoarthritis (ОА) may be part of systemic lipid metabolism disorder. Some authors suppose that fatty tissue may be the origin of biologically active substances such as adiponectin, leptin that may influence chondrogenesis. Adipokins can have an influence on lipid oxidation and cause oxidized low density lipoprotein (OxLDL) and autoantibodies to OxLDL formation. We examined 175 people: 130 OA patients and 45 healthy donors. The adiponectin, OxLDL and autoantibodies to OxLDL level were determined with ELISA- test. The high level of OxLDL, autoantibodies to OxLDL and low level of adiponectin were revealed in sera of ОА patients. Thus adiponectin, OxLDL and autoantibodies to OxLDL may have important significance in pathogenesis of ОА.
