CLINICAL AND PROGNOSTIC VALUE OF BIOMETAL DYNAMICS IN ACUTE CORONARY SYNDROME IN MALES

Abstract

The present study provides data on the dynamics of biometals including zinc and copper in patients with acute coronary syndrome depending on the extent of myocardial infarction. The concentration of zinc in blood serum in all groups of patients with acute coronary syndrome on admission was significantly lower, while that of copper was higher than in the control group.These changes were proportional to the extent of myocardial infarction and were most pronounced in patients with Q wave myocardial infarction.
