INFLUENCE OF GPR119 RECEPTOR AGONIST ON INSULIN PRODUCTION AND INSULIN RESISTANCE IN INTACT RATS AND RATS WITH EXPERIMENTAL DIABETES MELLITUS

Abstract

Hypoglycemic action of ZB-16, a novel GPR119 receptor agonist, is incretin-mediated and involves increased secretion of insulin in response to a glucose load. The administration of ZB-16 reduces glucose tolerance and insulin resistance index in rats with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
