Modern approaches to diagnostics of colon obstruction are based on a complex evaluation of clinical, laboratory, radiological and ultrasound data which comprise classification criteria of colon obstruction degree. At present application of one- or two phase operations, expansion of indications for operations with primary, primarily-delayed and delayed anastomosis is justified. Introduction of less invasive technologies in the colon obstruction surgery allows to reconsider tactics of treatment in favour of the phase one decompres-sion operations in patients with sub- and decompensated obstruction.
