Abstract

Local cytokines profile (tumor necrosis factor-, interleukin-8, interleukin-4, interleukin-10 and interferon-) was evaluated in patients with generalized periodontitis and peptic duodenal ulcer. Application of ozone therapy was demonstrated to stabilize periodontal status, promote reparation of duodenal ulcer and improve the cytokine balance of the oral fluid.
