A Total of 82 patients with osteoarthritis were examined. They underwent clinical and laboratory investigations to asses the efficiency of balneologic remedy «Elton» in comparison with local non-steroid antiinflammatory remedy «Fastumgel ». In patients who received Elton clinical parameters were significantly improved like in the group of patients who received «Fastum-gel». In patients who received «Elton» there was revealed a decreased level of antibodies to collagen and antibodies to hyaluronic acid, which proves a decrease in reactive inflammation.
