Physician’s attitude to the practice of clinical trials

Abstract

The opinion poll of 195 physicians was conducted to study their attitude to the practice of clinical trials in Russia. 59% of physicians consider that the results of clinical trials are not reliable sometimes. Most of respondents acknowledge that the obstacle for the widening of the practice of clinical trials is lack of development of the medical organization’s equipment and announce that pharmaceutical companies must let the information to researchers and support them financially. 68% of physicians consider that they have a right to recommend their patients to the participation in clinical trials, 15% does not, the others have found difficulty in replying to this question. 69% of respondents consider that it is possible to conduct clinical trials in their medical organization, among physicians who have the experience of clinical trial 91% of respondents were certain in that. There is a significant variety in physician’s opinion concerning organization and conducting of clinical trials.
